Baptism Fables

On this page I purpose to eventually address each of the following false teachings…

The first two (“Baptismal Membership” and  “Baptismal Adding” )were false teachings which I once embraced.

The others ( “Infant Baptism”,  “Baptismal Regeneration” and “Baptism in the Spirit a Second Work of Grace”) are embraced by some very good friends of mine.

  1. Galen says:

Jesus: “Go make disciples, baptising them… teaching them to obey…” Peter: “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” “So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.” This works! Tell the Good News to all, baptise immediately those who repent, and they will receive the Holy Spirit. From that moment, count them as members of the Body of Christ and start a new church in their home. (Everything else is abstract theology.)

    • That’s pretty radical, isn’t it brother???? Baptize immediately? What if they happen to be a false professor? “Aren’t you “wiser” to wait a while to test them out a bit?”

Actually I couldn’t agree with you more!! Thanks for an excellent comment!
